Gotta thank Sarah aka :iconshadowed-angel: for the new avatar :D :D I think it's really pretty :D

Okay - I'm a tad upset that Grace Haven hasn't called me up yet.

A Social Worker asked me to email her with my particulars and that she'd get back to me soon. I mentioned that I would be delighted if I could head over to the home on Saturday.

Today's Friday :( And there still hasn't been a response. I left my contact number of course...

Maybe she's been very busy... I hope it doesn't fall through though... That's *the* nearest children's home from my house that won't cost me a bomb to volunteer at on a regular basis. -- Transport is a killer and I have to save up for like a million things.

1) Laptop ( I can save up for that by working part time next year :))
2) I need to save up at least $600 by January for a short holiday because I'm too burned out. My weight has dropped from 121 in January to 109, currently. My face is going CRAZY with spots (I'm VERY unhappy about that) And my hair fall - ;) Go ahead and get my colleague to vent about how my hair ends up everywhere ;)

I really can't wait to know more about the systems and how I'd be able to help out. Not to mention I want to have a first hand accounts on how things are run - Not just cleaning windows and playing with the kids or spending some time talking to the old folks. Sure, those are all nice things to do and I love to spend time with the old folks but I want to be able to make a difference at the core. Be the change that I want to see and affect those around me.

:) I'm going to call up grace haven tomorrow morning and inquire. :D

P.S. I'm probably going to delete this later ;) but what the heck ! :D

Hello Deviant friend!
If you haven't seen my journal, a quick update. I am moving the remainder of jon.com and any of my future manuscripts to a professional/personal web site where I hope to attract additional readers, an agent and a publisher or two. I would love to put you in my data base so you receive information about new chapters as they are written. If you are interested, would you please respond to me in a NOTE with your:
Name
Address
Email address
Sex
Age
And if you are so inclined, a sentence or two telling why you like my work, which I could use as a testimonial if needed.

I sure would appreciate it. BTW, I'll still be around dA. I'd miss all you guys too much. I've made some valuable friends here, and I hope I can count you among them. Thanks.
Denise

PS - How are you, hon? No word from you in a while.

You did it! Good for you. I'll be watching and commenting. I couldn't be more excited for you if I was embarking on this endeavor myself.

:) We're always on the move in this road called life.

And I do NOT believe in high speed reversing nor speeding ahead. It's painful to crash ;)

Hopefully a steady speed will help on this lil journey ;) I've got a few months :D
:icondenlm:
Smart philosophy.
